As a child starting St Hilda's school in 1950 my initiation was one of absolute fear, I was singled out by nun sister Elfreda who took an

instant dislike to me and boy did I suffer for the rest of my time there.

I was struck on several occasions and the most hurtful and embarrassing situation was the roll call where I was called up to face the class and explain my parentage,

Eventually my mother took me out of St Hilda's once I had completed my primary education and moved ont my secondary

school.

I recently found out sister Elfreda was called the nun from hell, I hope she suffers as much as I did and still do,.
